Hawaiian Koa Live Edge Table
This table is combination of Hawaiian Koa and American Walnut. The top is built from a live edge slab of Hawaiian Koa attached to na apron of American Walnut. These are connected to one another via lap joints and are designed to 'present' the live edge Koa top as the sculptural object that it is via the use of negative space around the perimeter. Hidden dowels connect this framing system to the legs and the slab top to "float" the Koa above the apron. The entire piece is finished with a rub-on, oil based clear urethane finish that adds to the satiny look of the wood grain. This table measures 32" long (tip to tip of the Koa slab) x 34" tall x 18" deep (tip to tip of the walnut frame). Specifications: 32" long 34" tall 18" deep We have access to a number of suppliers of slabs including Koa and customize this table to meet your need. Every slab is unique and we work to incorporate its beauty into the design of table.

Puffball Designs LLC,, is a husband and wife team. We design and create one-of-a-kind home decor items. Some are functional, some are decorative, and all strive for an original artistic flair.
We use materials ranging from hardwoods to stained glass to fabrics, paints, pastels… whatever we feel we need to make the objects that we envision and come to life.
On occasion our projects are inspired by a combination of other things that we have seen, but more often than not our inspiration comes from the raw materials themselves -- we like the challenge of experimentally combining the eclectic mix of materials that we find to make the items. We especially get satisfaction from taking the discards and remnants others overlook and giving them new life.
We primarily do one-of-a-kind spec pieces, but we also do from time-to-time smaller custom pieces.
We build everything ourselves out of our small home workshop located in the Virginia Piedmont region. Puffball Designs LLC is a registered Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
