Greetings friends,
I'm a Navy Veteran that started carving signs after retiring from the military. As I continue to enjoy the craft the most rewarding thing for me is to know that someone really loved what I created for them. To me, one of the most important things is not only to provide a great piece of art but also great customer service. Every sign I make, is made for a friend not a customer. When I design and carve a sign I do it the way I cook food for my loved ones, with the heart and soul.
Most of the signs I make are made out of redwood and occasionally cedar and pine, however, before a sign can be carved the wood has to be seasoned to the appropriate moisture content. All wood is hand selected and thanks to mother nature every sign has its unique grain pattern which makes every sign one of a kind. Some signs may even include a knot or two which adds a little more character to your piece.
I have a variation of colors to choose but the most common signs are made with black letters or backgrounds. Logos and pictures can also be painted (usually hand painted) so if you don't see something you like in my samples, please ask. A higher percentage of signs are custom made so they are made with the collaboration between you the customer and myself. All signs will be coated with at least three coats of indoor/outdoor protective coating to protect your sign from the elements. Eye hooks and small rope are provided for you to be able to hang your sign as soon as you receive it. Signs will be completed between 7-14 days from day of payment. All efforts will be done to complete your project as soon as possible.
