Dining Room Table And Bench
A walnut dining room table and bench that can comfortably seat up to six people. This table was inspired after we milled a walnut tree that had been hit by lighting on our family farm in northwest Iowa. The apron of the table is mortised in to the table legs with sturdy, 1" tenons. The bench is also made from the same walnut tree and feature through wedged tenons that join the legs to the seat. The stretchers are made out of 1" square steel tubing and were left unfinished to add a little rustic flare. Table dimensions: 60"L x 30.25"W x 30"H Bench dimensions: 54"L x 14.75"W x 18"H

After studying 17th Century furniture making at The North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts I founded Matthew Cohen Fine Furniture. For years, I created custom pieces in my studio in Estes Park, Colorado. A love of skiing drew me into ski making, so I changed the name of the company to Westes Woodworks to better capture the broader nature of my designs.
