Three Trees Workshop
We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Warrensburg, Missouri. We’re both from the Midwest, but we met in Uganda while serving as Peace Corps Volunteers. We love exploring, soaking in the beauty of the natural world, and getting to know the people and cultures we encounter along the way.
We use high quality local Missouri hardwoods and eco-friendly finishes to minimize our environmental impact. We also plant a tree for every item we sell!
Nathan has a background in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and is a lifelong woodworker. He is excited about our full time creative pursuit based on his love for creating and woodworking and our desire to make beautiful, useful things.
Cynthia offers input into the design process and manages orders and other details. We look forward to working with you!

Oct 18, 2017Wow - Nathan is a true craftsman. I can honestly say, he FAR exceeded my expectations. I had him create a custom keepsake box as a wedding gift for my wife and he was able to inscribe it with a custom design and phrase that I made myself using MS Powerpoint. That made it really easy to get the inscription to look and say exactly as I wanted. Anyway - back to the woodwork. The attention to detail (added chamfers to soften corners, sanding work and subtle varnish, the inlays, the joints) is way above anything you are going to find from all but the best craftsman. The fit and finish is - in a word - perfect. (and that is high praise - I myself am an OCD engineer perfectionist). What made it even more special was the wood cuts he chose. The wood grains simply look other worldy. I never knew wood could pop like this and make you unable to look away. Its that gorgeous. Nathan has created an heirloom that will now be in my family for generations. Simply exquisite. Thank you Nathan!!

Dec 20, 2016Cynthia & Nathan were a PLEASURE to work with. I wanted a very specific custom chess board for my Dad with specific engraving and specs. and the throughput was 100%. I was a little bit nervous because I have never used this site; however, Cynthia was extremely professional and responded to all of my emails in under 24 hours. Anything that is custom, they will send proofs for approval. They told me the exact timelines and what to expect and everything was exactly as stated. I am an EXTREMELY detail oriented person, everything down to the wood grain direction was done perfectly. I can't thank them enough. I increased the board size and the price was extremely fair.
