Farm Style Dinning And Kitchen China Cabinet
This one of two freestanding corner cabinet I made to go in the corner of a dining room. The client had a photo of an old house with a similar build-in unit. I suggested that we build her cabinet as a freestanding china cabinet that she could enjoy and take it with she if you decided to move. After collaborating with the clients we came up with a design and budget. The resulting cabinet was made from a agreed upon design and drawing. The case of the unit was contracted from 3/4" hardwood plywood. The face was constructed from poplar hardware. The client selected a custom color. This cabinet was designed to have a farm house feel. The doors are inset with simple hinges and simple wooden knobs. Magnet catches allow the door to securely close and are hidden from the outside of the cabinet.

For over 30 years, I have built custom furniture for customers, friends and family. I take pride in each and every one of my woodworking projects. I use both traditional joinery methods and modern techniques in the construction of my pieces, which allows me to tailor the features I design for my clients. I always offer premium material and finish choices for each project, so my customers can match their existing decor or select a striking contrast.

As a one man shop, my design process starts with the concept for the piece I am planning. I create sketches, drawings, and 3D models to capture the details of the design. On contract projects, I meet with the customer to make sure that they are seeing the features that make sense to them. Next, I select the raw material, usually starting with raw lumber. Then I begin the construction of the piece. After the assembly is complete, I finish the work to match the customer's wishes.
