Craftsman's Style Grandfather Clock

I designed and built this grandfather clock about 10 years ago as a wedding gift for one of my children, and have since built several others. The elegant simplicity is reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts furniture movement and makes it at home in both contemporary and traditional settings. This heirloom quality grandfather clock is constructed of the best available hardwoods using mortise and tenon joinery, a technique craftsmen have used for centuries. The photograph shows the clock made from cherry; you may request any wood you want but the price will vary based on your selection. The typical clock face used in an Arts and Crafts style clock is a simple paper face, attached to a plywood backing mounted in front of the movement. Metal face designs are also available but are priced separately. The finished clock is 80 inches tall, 19 inches wide and 14 inches deep. The clock movement is a chain driven Westminster Chime, which can be turned off if you prefer. The 8 day chain driven movement is precision built from hardened brass with machined nickel plated steel. It features an automatic beat adjustment and is simple to operate. Included are black serpentine hands, a polished brass pendulum bob, chains, brass weight shells, and weight fillings and it comes with a 12 month guarantee.
