Custom Colonial Fireplace Mantel

Custom Colonial Fireplace Mantel

$700

This was a colonial fireplace mantel I designed for a customer who converted there wood burning fireplace mantle to a gas log unit. The client selected the design from a book of mantle designs. I then created construction drawing to fit the fireplace opening. Each element of the mantle was designed with pocket hole on the back side of each board. I then simply screwed the parts together at the site and anchored the unit to the wall. The unit was then painted and the tile installed between the firebox and the wooden mantle. The price for this listing is only for the painted Mantle and the side legs. If you want this design, I would create a drawing for your fireplace and then build you project. The mantle would be delivered to you in three sections, that you could screw together from the back side. I can deliver unpainted or paint for an additional fee.

For over 30 years, I have built custom furniture for customers, friends and family. I take pride in each and every one of my woodworking projects. I use both traditional joinery methods and modern techniques in the construction of my pieces, which allows me to tailor the features I design for my clients. I always offer premium material and finish choices for each project, so my customers can match their existing decor or select a striking contrast.

I focus on the Craftsman and Arts and Crafts styles but have experience with Shaker, modern, and many other aesthetics.

My custom home remodeling business has afforded me unique opportunities to build custom furniture for my client's homes. In addition to designing and creating sets of cabinets for particular spaces, I have built fireplace mantles, corner seating, entertainment centers, custom mirrors, and outdoor furniture.

Some of the other Custom Projects I have built include:
Grandfather and mantle clocks
Musical instruments
Mantle Clocks
Jewelry Boxes
High Chairs
End Tables
Wooden Children's toys
Speakers
Entertainment centers

As a one man shop, my design process starts with the concept for the piece I am planning. I create sketches, drawings, and 3D models to capture the details of the design. On contract projects, I meet with the customer to make sure that they are seeing the features that make sense to them. Next, I select the raw material, usually starting with raw lumber. Then I begin the construction of the piece. After the assembly is complete, I finish the work to match the customer's wishes.
