The desk was commissioned to combine some traditional Arts and Crafts joinery and aesthetics but with updated features to suit the clients tastes and needs. The traditional wood choice of oak was replaced by cherry. The height was increased so the client can stand while working at his computer. The lower shelf was positioned and dimensioned to accommodate a computer and accessories.
