Please visit www.firecreekforge.com for the latest available knives. I took the Wilderness Survivor, and on request from a special unit reservist out of Sweden, made a few changes and added some features. The result is a robust, tough as nails knife that is as comfortable attached to a chest rig as it is on a bushcraft belt or in a survival pack. Choose from 3/16" O1 Tool Steel or 80CRV2 alloy steel; or 1/4" thick O1 Tool Steel. If you prefer a different steel, shoot me a message. I routinely work with a wide variety of steels on request. The blade is heat treated for the best combination of strength and edge holding ability. The blade has a flat grind, and is 4.75" long. The pommel has a generous lanyard hole and glass breaker / striker / scraper. The knife is shown with OD Green canvas micarta handle scales and custom liners, and an acid etch finish. The acid etch finish is an extra option that must be purchased if you want it on the knife. The spine of the knife is designed for use with a ferrocerium rod or batoning on the middle portion of the spine with the rest of the spine being rounded. A tek lock compatible sheath is included, with a dangler strap.

Fire Creek Forge (home of Elijah Williams Knives) provides quality, one of a kind custom made knives and metal items, hand made from scratch.
I have been making knives for about 20 years. I first got into it after reading a book on knife making at my library, and I taught myself from there, gleaning information from other books, and the web.
Building knives was a good match for another early interest of mine, the outdoors, woods, and back country. I love the idea of being able to walk into a trackless wilderness with only a good knife, and have the skills to live comfortably. I haven't quite reached that level, but I continue to study and practice these skills today, and it serves well to inform my blade design and construction.
I also began forging some years back, and I enjoy making useful and decorative items with the simple and old methods of working iron and steel.

For Firecreekforge.Com Tactical Survival Mission KnifeThere were some delays (some unavoidable) but the craftsman kept in constant contact with me when I emailed him, and would usually return emails within three hours or less. In my communications with him I found him to be honest, straightforward, and easy to understand. When I received the knife and sheath they were both in good order and ready to go to work, but there were some things I wanted changed. I contacted the craftsman, explained what I wanted done, shipped them both back to him, and he made the changes I requested and shipped them back. I now have the knife I wanted, and I got it the way I wanted it. I will order from this craftsman again,
