Visit us at www.firecreekforge.com for the latest knives! This is a tough, mission oriented blade from Williams Built called the Frontline. The blade is 3/16" thick O1 Tool Steel with a flat ground profile, and a false edge on the top of about two thirds of the blade. The blade length is 4.5". The handle is Micarta, with bolts. The handle is available with 1/4" thick normal (smooth), or 3/8" thick grooved. The knife shown is 3/8" thick grooved. The grooving provides additional gripping ability. I do the grooving by hand on each individual knife. Kydex sheath made to each knife.

I have been making knives for about 20 years. I first got into it after reading a book on knife making at my library, and I taught myself from there, gleaning information from other books, and the web.
Building knives was a good match for another early interest of mine, the outdoors, woods, and back country. I love the idea of being able to walk into a trackless wilderness with only a good knife, and have the skills to live comfortably. I haven't quite reached that level, but I continue to study and practice these skills today, and it serves well to inform my blade design and construction.
I also began forging some years back, and I enjoy making useful and decorative items with the simple and old methods of working iron and steel.

Dec 29, 2020There were some delays (some unavoidable) but the craftsman kept in constant contact with me when I emailed him, and would usually return emails within three hours or less. In my communications with him I found him to be honest, straightforward, and easy to understand. When I received the knife and sheath they were both in good order and ready to go to work, but there were some things I wanted changed. I contacted the craftsman, explained what I wanted done, shipped them both back to him, and he made the changes I requested and shipped them back. I now have the knife I wanted, and I got it the way I wanted it. I will order from this craftsman again,

Feb 25, 2018I haven’t had a chance to use my skinning knife yet but I have gave it a good inspection and this is a beautiful piece. Simple and elegant with excellent fit and finish. Sent pics to a few buddies in the know on this stuff and they all wanted to know who the maker was. Especially when they heard the price! Not a lot of communication but all accurate and timely. Can’t wait to put it to work!

Jun 22, 2016Elijah is by far the nicest and easiest and professional person let alone artisans I've ever worked with. His attention to detail is amazing. He doesn't just make the product he's a part of it with his collaboration and experience. I wanted a Zombie killing knife that when plunged into their head came through with enough blade left to put an apple on.When I received my knife it was exactly that and more. I was so impressed I nearly soiled myself. The attention to detail was amazing, fare nicer than I anticipated. I can't believe the amount of work that went into this knife for the price I paid was incredible. I would highly recommend that you place your order right away and get in on the ground floor prices now. I see Elijah taking off and your going to be on a long waiting list. He listens to every thing you ask for and gets involved and advises you and makes suggestions to improve your project to add quality not found everywhere these days.
