Visit us at www.firecreekforge.com for the latest knives! This is a tough, mission oriented blade from Williams Built called the Frontline. The blade is 3/16" thick O1 Tool Steel with a flat ground profile, and a false edge on the top of about two thirds of the blade. The blade length is 4.5". The handle is Micarta, with bolts. The handle is available with 1/4" thick normal (smooth), or 3/8" thick grooved. The knife shown is 3/8" thick grooved. The grooving provides additional gripping ability. I do the grooving by hand on each individual knife. Kydex sheath made to each knife.

I have been making knives for about 20 years. I first got into it after reading a book on knife making at my library, and I taught myself from there, gleaning information from other books, and the web.
Building knives was a good match for another early interest of mine, the outdoors, woods, and back country. I love the idea of being able to walk into a trackless wilderness with only a good knife, and have the skills to live comfortably. I haven't quite reached that level, but I continue to study and practice these skills today, and it serves well to inform my blade design and construction.
I also began forging some years back, and I enjoy making useful and decorative items with the simple and old methods of working iron and steel.

In my communications with him I found him to be honest, straightforward, and easy to understand. When I received the knife and sheath they were both in good order and ready to go to work, but there were some things I wanted changed. I contacted the craftsman, explained what I wanted done, shipped them both back to him, and he made the changes I requested and shipped them back. He doesn't just make the product he's a part of it with his collaboration and experience. I wanted a Zombie killing knife that when plunged into their head came through with enough blade left to put an apple on.When I received my knife it was exactly that and more. I was so impressed I nearly soiled myself. The attention to detail was amazing, fare nicer than I anticipated. I can't believe the amount of work that went into this knife for the price I paid was incredible. I would highly recommend that you place your order right away and get in on the ground floor prices now. I see Elijah taking off and your going to be on a long waiting list.
