Amethyst Dreams
This is a delightful purple, blue and amethyst colored abstract set. This food and microwave safe set was hand painted, glazed and fired in a kiln. I fired the pieces a bit longer than usual to create the faded amethyst color (where it looks yellowed) and a slightly cracked looking glaze. Each piece was painted with the same colors, but due to placement in the kiln, it produced a varied color making this a completely one of a kind tea set. This set includes: Tea (or coffee) pot Cream & Sugar 2 tea cups & saucers.

If you are looking for a unique tea set or a tea pot, I can help you with that! I have been painting tea sets for 4 years. I began with acrylic paints but decided I wanted to make the sets microwave, dishwasher and food safe. I now paint exclusively with ceramic paints that must be fired in a kiln. I am delighted to be able to create something that is unique to you.
I like using bold colors and strong lines, and trying to create different layers that mature in the kiln. Some of my favourite pieces look like stained glass - which is achieved by using specific paints. I am a bit of a perfectionist and will not release a piece until I am completely satisfied with it. After all, it has my name on the bottom.
