Kinetic Abstract / 16 x 20 x 1.5 / Acrylic, Ink, Oil on Canvas FRAMED, Ready to hang. Like almost all of my work, I prefer not to disclose my direct thoughts on what the piece is 'about'. I would like the viewer to make their own story and come to their own conclusions. These smaller pieces grab the attention of not only a smaller wall, but also a large space. I created a balance in an imperfect way. I wanted it to feel mechanical, yet of the hand, not machine. When I say balance, I not only mean in weight but in other aspects- life, excess, restraint. The edges are finished with paint, I chose 'my' black, to set the white front off. ABOUT //
Inspired largely by the Bauhaus. Certainly Miro. Architecture. Music. Well, basically all art in one way or another. Even if the work is something that I personally do not care for, I get the why and how someone else may find value in it, so that in itself makes it entertaining.
I have been an artist since 3rd grade, perhaps earlier, but I recall the detailed drawings of Greek Mythological personalities… Which continued later into a fine career as a Designer and Creative Director all the while creating fine art as well. Personally I find the line between the two disciplines blur quite a bit. Maybe that is just me. Creative is from comes from within, a passion, where logic may begin a thought but where the soul finishes it.

I love creating things that allow people the space to think- enjoy, hate, laugh, ponder, change a mood, feel… I do my best not to spoon-feed art or creativity, to me it is far more worthwhile if the dots are connected by the viewer. Let people generate the story of what they see, hear or taste. I live in North Carolina with my super cool family. I spent a great deal of my life in Miami and have traveled quite a bit. I prefer going barefoot. I believe in your word.
