I did the designs in the movie "Country Strong" with Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw. I do upholstery 'art'… or very unique creations for headboards and toddler beds… that convert to a twin upholstered headboard! These are furniture pieces CHILDREN love, … and isn't it their bedroom? Today's Minimalist, Modern, Taupes, Grays, "Restoration Hardware" look may appeal to Mom or Dad.. but folks, not to children. When they see PRECIOUS BEDS their whole faces light up and they must crawl in and snuggle-down, or close the animals eyes to go "Night-Night". Fantasy, Creativity, Texture, Color is what children DESIRE! They don't like to sleep alone any more than you do, now they don't have to.
I use Crypton Microbial, Green Guard, Hypoallergenic, water-wipe up Upholstery! I do custom-made animals, eyes open and close, horses manes interchange different colors. These fit a standard crib mattress and the animal later becomes a Twin Bed headboard. Give them a SOFT place to fall, and make bedtime….. a HAPPY time!
