In 2008 I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics. After working for less than a year in New York City's world of high finance I knew I needed to make a change. I quit my job working for a high stakes hedge fund and bought a plain ticket to Bali, Indonesia, planning on a one month surf trip. I spent the next two years traveling as much as I could afford and working seasonal jobs in my home town, living in my parents garage. At this point I came to the realization that the office life was not for me, but I could easily spend fourteen hours a day working in a wood shop, building things for friends and family.

In the last 10 years I have turned that passion for woodworking into a small business, working one on one with individuals to create one of one pieces that will last a lifetime. Far too many of us have gotten used to buying a piece of furniture and throwing it out in a year for the newest sleek modern piece from Ikea. My goal is to build things that are beautiful, functional, and long-lasting, while at the same time helping to keep year old particle board furniture out of the landfill.
