Elk Mount

My name is Jared Wilson, I am 27 years old and do custom work in wood and metal. I have been doing woodwork since I was 14 and metalwork since I was 18. My father is a woodworker so I have grown up working with wood and became very interested in working with metal at the end of high school.
I have worked construction for several years as a full-time job and a side job. I have taken welding classes along with attending blacksmith trade school at Turley Forge.
I enjoy building handmade items, whether it be wood or metal. I think that some pieces look really well with the too mixed also! One of my greatest passions though is forging. I enjoy forging knives and tools the most, however any piece that is simple or hard, I enjoy it all. Like I stated earlier, my father is a master woodworker and so I was introduced to working with wood at a young age. I was taught how to truly hand make items from start to finish using no power tools, all the way to using all woodworking power tools and machines that are made today.
