(multiple pickups & premium pickups, custom wiring, mod boards, etc.. extra - ask for quote) Through neck design body in traditional, single cutaway and double cutaway options. (Single cutaway is pictured) Neck is book match laminated for strength, and tapered for comfort. I'm a self-educated, Award Winning Primitive Folk Artisan that studies, repairs, and builds Traditional & Non-traditional string instruments.
I'm familiar with folk instruments from around the World. I'm not just another 6 string guitar guy, I also build banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, citterns, bouzoukis, balalaikas, violins, dulcimers, psaltries, koras, bandolas, tres cubano, cuatros, tiples, and much more. Just show me a picture and I can build it. No blueprints needed.
I also hand wind pickups, do mod boards, and custom wiring.
My hand rubbed finishes are Old school traditional shellac varnish, in both brushed & French polish, and polyurethane.
I use a lot of recovered & re-purposed wood in my builds, and my preferred Tone wood is Florida Bald Cypress. I have a stock of 100+ year old naturally seasoned recovered cypress barn wood.
