5 String Wood Top Banjourine
A rare style of instrument, This one is a hybrid Wooden top Banjo, and Banjourine (circa 1900 short scale banjo). This has my 11 inch stave hoop, made of Florida Cypress, with a cypress soundboard, and hand carved, laminated cypress & cherry neck. Piezo disk harness under the bridge area gives it added "Mojo".

I'm a self-educated, Award Winning Primitive Folk Artisan that studies, repairs, and builds Traditional & Non-traditional string instruments.

I also hand wind pickups, do mod boards, and custom wiring.
My hand rubbed finishes are Old school traditional shellac varnish, in both brushed & French polish, and polyurethane.
I use a lot of recovered & re-purposed wood in my builds, and my preferred Tone wood is Florida Bald Cypress. I have a stock of 100+ year old naturally seasoned recovered cypress barn wood.
