Short Scale Cypress Bass Guitar
Made from a slab of recovered river Cypress, this 32 inch short scale bass has a hand rubbed shellac varnish, and a salvaged 60's Maxon pickup that I rewound. Definitely had some of that old school funk.

My hand rubbed finishes are Old school traditional shellac varnish, in both brushed & French polish, and polyurethane.
I use a lot of recovered & re-purposed wood in my builds, and my preferred Tone wood is Florida Bald Cypress. I have a stock of 100+ year old naturally seasoned recovered cypress barn wood.
