Heavily Figured Live Edge Pecan Coffee Table

$900

This coffee table was crafted from a crotch slab of a Pecan tree that died in Del Rio, TX during the long drought we had for several years. The tree was slabbed and seasoned in Del Rio until I picked this particular piece out of 25 slabs and brought it to Austin. I picked it for its incredible features including heartwood, sapwood, feathered figuring, and even some light spalting. The natural cracking that often occurs during the drying process is know as checking and generally doesn't affect the structural integrity of the wood. To ensure the cracks don't split further I used a technique of hand laying walnut bowties 3/4" deep into the table and filling with epoxy. The walnut legs of the table can be shortened to any length at no charge. Additionally, hairpin legs can be added for a charge of $150. The table is 60" long x 12, 24, and 18" wide in various places. Shipping charged for delivery outside of the Central Texas and Northeast Texas areas. (SA, Austin, Dallas, Houston) as I will happily deliver myself in those areas.
