Clear Bubbled Fused Glass Platter

I am an urban designer and site planner, turned glass sculptor. I met and fell in love with glass fusing 15 years ago. With this medium, I focus on integrating specific compositions into the glass that remain intact when properly fired in the kiln. Many of the featured elements in my art are created over a week or two, with visual methods I have developed, and produce through several kiln firings. I integrate metaphor, fantasy, and nature in the design concepts. The vibrant colored glass is UV-safe, permanent, and the glass is durable. No paints are involved.

The large scale glass murals, chandeliers, sconces, sinks, and bowls are award winning designs. I have created featured art pieces for hospitals, universities, restaurants and dozens of homes. My design background allows me to easily assess the art needs of a space, and collaborate well with architects and clients.

My goal is to bring glass art to public and private spaces in ways unseen before. To integrate designs and feelings into the glass, with intention; to make this craft speak to those who experience it; and to make the spaces serving as the glasswork’s home more elegant and exciting.
