Live Edge Mantel | Cottonwood
We created this live edge mantel as a custom designed piece for a client and liked it so much we decided to offer it to our customers. The mantel is cut from an Eastern Cottonwood log. Cottonwood is extremely light weight and has a beautiful color. In addition to it's beautiful color it also takes stain very well. The pictures portray what the mantel looks like before it's been finished. At the point in the pictures all we have done is cut, planed, and sanded the mantel. We have other pieces of Cottonwood just like this if you're interested in a similar mantel. This particular one is 8 feet long x 12 inches wide. We could go as large as 8.5 feet long and 16 inches wide.
