I've been getting my hands dirty with metal for over 30 years. Everything is custom handmade by ONLY me (no employees or crew. just me). I have 10 years of experience woking with wood. I have a passion for making dreams a reality. Clients give me an idea, sketch, or specific list of needs. I work on a drawing to scale, and once approved I start on the project.
I would say my artistic creativity and blacksmithing skills are my strongest points, since I've been working the longest with them. I let my projects speak for themselves. I am a perfectionist and my own worst critic. 90% of my metal projects are mild steel, but I do work with other metals and any welding process.
When it comes to wood in my projects, I try to use repurposed wood whenever possible, but I'm not limited by it. Let's brainstorm, crunch some numbers, and make one of a kind custom pieces.

Aug 24, 2017This was the first time Xavier used this site and this was the first time i used this site and I can honestly say I am not disappointed with any of the results. I'm proposing to my girlfriend in a few months and being a hospitality major I am very detailed oriented and wanted a special ring box and since she loves pokemon i wanted to get her something she'll remember for generations to come. After I posted my idea on this site within 20 mins I got a notification from Xavier & slowly my vision of what i wanted came to life. He even responded within the hour of any email i ever sent him. This guy is amazing! I will say one thing tho this guy very much like myself is a perfectionist so give yourself plenty of time to have him create the item and don't rush him he's not just a maker, he's a artist and boy did he not disappoint. thank you xavier from the bottom of my heart for everything you did, you rock! ~William Oakes

He was very responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend him for any similar projects, i.e.,metal antique reproductions. He mixed his skill with an artistic flair. We were also very impressed by the customer support by the CustomMade customer service team!

Apr 3, 2018This project did take longer than what I had expected, but, issues with the shipping company and some miscommunication led to a longer lead time. The Maker did make up for the disappointing job the shipping company made, by actually delivering the product himself. From Texas to Michigan is no small trip. For this, they earned four starts. Timeliness earned four stars. Communication and professionalism made the project great. There were changes. but they were on it every step of the way. The quality of the bar stools is second to none. They truly are one of a kind. I assure you there are no others like it available. Each one weighs about sixty pounds and they will outlive me and the next person who has them. The value is unreal. We obtained much more than what I believed we would for the price we paid. The wait was well worth the product we received. I give Xavier and his team two thumbs up. If they could control the shipping company, dealing with shippers is a tough business in itself, They would be five stars all across the board. We will certainly be looking for Dirty Metal Secrets for our next project. Might make up a project just to deal with them again.
