At 5 years old I started begging my Mom to teach me how to sew. She would give me her fabric scraps and I would make clothing for my Barbie doll. I made my first outfit for myself when I was in 4th grade from fabric left over from my Grandma's "stash". (I come from a long line of sewists going back as far as my Great-grandmother!)

I have been a passionate sewist now for over 50 years. I am currently retired and do sewing from my home for clients, family and myself. I make most anything from little girl’s dresses to tailored suits.

Working with local designers over the past several years has given me to opportunity to take on some unusual projects which I find very rewarding. I would love to take on your apparel project and know I will be able to give you a beautiful, custom fit garment.

It was such a pleasure to work with Suanne! She took on my project for a custom pilgrim style dress and worked with me on every single detail, helping me chose the fabric and style, always keeping me up to date and sending me progress pictures. Even though we had some international shipping issues - she was so quick to problem solve and helped me finally receive it. Suanne did excellent work. She was quite communicative throughout the entire process, which took several months due to the complexity of my request. Several times I left decisions up to her, since she has far greater experience that I do in this area. The end result is exactly what I asked for. I am very happy with how well she completed my project and I recommend her to others.

I am pleased with Suanne's work on a rayon bigshirt she made for me. It is well done and made exactly to what I was expecting. And the project was done quicker than I expected. Certainly would like to have other projects done by her.

Suanne was so kind and a pleasure to work with. She was great at making the perfect suggestions for material and communicating throughout the process. I will def use her again. Her work is amazing and our costumes were a hit for Halloween. They came in plenty of time and were packaged with care!
