Hanging Pot From Upcycled Plastic
Hanging Pot Bowl is 7" diameter, 4" deep, for a total of 16" height. Made from 100% used plastic bags. RAD collects, processes, spins, and weaves the bags ourself to produce these hanging pots. Can be filled with soil, pellets, etc. Woven construction allows the soil to breathe nicely, and excess water can drip out of the bottom for irrigation. Indoors or outdoors use, all weather, won't degrade. Each hanging pot uses approximately 30 bags to produce. These White & Orange pots have a Green warp (the vertical running threads which also make the arms) and alternating bands of White & Orange weft (the horizontal part which makes the bowl). White bag are grocery store vegetable bags, Green are the same but for organic veggies, Orange are the Bend Bulletin Newspaper bags. Does NOT include plants or soil

I am a 3 dimensional sculptor of functional art. I work in many materials including wood, stone, steel, and plastics, with modern tools like 3D Printing, laser cutting, and CNC routing, in both the workshop and virtual spaces with VR sculpting software, 3D CAD, & BIM.
I am working on building projects with clients that will improve our world. We need to design things with respect to their social, environmental, and economic impact. This ranges from recycling and manufacturing plastics at home to carefully designing furniture for people & animals that really improves their quality of life, while minimizing their environmental cost.
I am a Master of Architecture, life long sculptor, speaker of Japanese, German, and English, and dedicated to building excellent projects for my clients!

Dec 27, 2018I was very happy with the final product and would definitely work with Russell again in the future if I would like something custom made. My advice is that if there's any detail or suggestions that you may have for your project during its creation, please voice them out to Russell right away as there are some things that can only be adjusted during certain phases of the project.
