The Leatherman
This portrait was made for someone who is very interested in the East Coast legend of the Leatherman, who wandered on a 360-mile route through New York and Connecticut in the late 1800s. He wore clothing that he made himself, made all of leather, weighing about 60 pounds. Sculpture is 12"Hx4"Wx6"D.

I love capturing the bright essence of pets in clay because I know how dear they are to their people. Whether you have a dog, cat, horse, hamster or gerbil, anything is possible. If your favorite animal is an elephant, lemur or anteater, let’s talk about that, too.
I don’t use any molds or previous work. Everything is unique and new for you.
I have loved animals—and drawn them—since I was three years old. I now focus on pets and wild animals, appreciating their unique personalities and senses of humor.
Working from your photos, together we’ll get the look as I send you pictures of my progress. The more images you can send, the more accurate the portrait, especially if your precious pet has lots of colors, markings or spots.
