I make these all the time for customers who need to hang a sign out in front of their business, or for a mailbox that is heavy with built in concrete like my own. It is made to hold up to 500 pounds. Made from heavy 6x6 pine, oak, or cedar. Prices vary from species of wood. Pine being the cheapest.

My specialty is furniture refinishing but I also enjoy making custom furniture. Over the years I have been told repeatedly that I missed my calling when it came to the art of wood. I just enjoy any type of carpentry and making others dreams come true.

Dealing with the public all my life first as a salesman during college and have realized over the years that most people are not patient. Quality work is not possible without patience and making sure every detail is covered for pieces to last a lifetime. My pieces are meant to be passed down from generation to generation. This process can not be rushed.

No one is perfect and I don't expect to be, but I strive for perfection in my furniture making process. With a Masters in Special Education and a Masters in Business, I have learned that patience over powers ignorance.

    Derrick was great -- it did take longer than I had hoped, but he communicated well around that and it is the pandemic, after all. Sadly because of his location the shipping cost almost has much as the item but not his fault! He understood what I wanted and did a great job with it overall. Would totally recommend.
