Custom built live edge bench. Traditional joinery techniques are used for the construction to provide a strong and long lasting bench. Bench in photographs is a spalted maple top with a walnut base. Benches are made to order so there are options with wood, size and additional designs. My handcrafted furniture and smaller home items are created from solid hardwoods incorporating strong joinery in the construction. I use walnut, cherry, red and white oak, quarter-sawn white oak, various different types of maple and ash. My designs are simple, clean and timeless, often taking inspiration from the Shakers, Scandinavian and English Arts and Crafts style. All items are finished simply to bring out the the natural color and beauty of the wood grain as well as providing protection from the day to day.
