Ash Hanging Wall Cabinet And Storage Shelf With Drawer
Ash hanging wall cabinet with shelf and drawer. Cabinet is built using traditional joinery such as dovetails, mortise and tenons. This type of construction is strong and will last due to not relying on just glue and fasteners. Drawer knob is an iron knob from England which is finished in a natural black oxide and coated with beeswax to protect the finish. To hang this cabinet I designed it to use a french cleat which simplify the install and makes it easy to get it level. My handcrafted furniture and smaller home items are created from solid hardwoods incorporating strong joinery in the construction. I use walnut, cherry, red and white oak, quarter-sawn white oak, various different types of maple and ash. My designs are simple, clean and timeless, often taking inspiration from the Shakers, Scandinavian and English Arts and Crafts style. All items are finished simply to bring out the the natural color and beauty of the wood grain as well as providing protection from the day to day.
