Articolo Woodshop was born at the beginning of 2020 in the middle of a world wide pandemic. If there is one thing that life has taught us lately is that through rough patches, we must persevere. Articolo Woodshop is based in St. Cloud, Florida. A local small business creating one of a kind modern rustic pieces for your designated space with the intent to provide you with quality craftsmanship that will stand the test of time. All items are created with locally sourced materials, including salvaged and rescued steel. Whenever possible, we implement sustainable woodworking practices into our shop by locally sourcing materials in order to reduce transportation and energy costs, which helps to minimize our carbon footprint overall.
Our creator and designer is Franco Ruiz. He has been captivated by woodworking for years. The ability to create and build with his own bare hands has always intrigued him. Although Franco originally spent many years pursuing a different career in the technology industry, his wife and daughters, finally convinced him to pursue his talent, start his own artisan workshop, and fulfill his dream. Our furniture gained huge popularity amongst our family and friends. We began crafting for those closest to us with it eventually becoming what is now: Articolo Woodshop.
Franco loves the creative process of taking raw material and turning it into something truly custom and unique. Whether it be a handcrafted farmhouse table, a built-in bookcase, a rustic wood countertop, or custom home décor, the result is the same: Endless Possibilities. Franco works on each handcrafted piece from start to finish; from the initial consultation to the design and construction. Each custom piece is handcrafted with attention to form and functionality.
