The top is of highly figured Sapele. It rests upon straight grain Cherry legs. These use bridle joints at the top with mortise and tenon joints on the arched bottoms. The Brazilian Jatoba snake is mortised onto the legs to tie them together. The hand rubbed Tung oil finish enhances the luster in the wood to a radiant satin sheen. 40 x 20 x18

I am a reformed marketing and business development executive. As a lifelong woodworker I am finally spending my energy creating unique pieces using wood. I share this passion by teaching woodworking at a makerspace.
My pieces are primarily created out of wood. The joy unlocking the beauty of the diversity of colors and textures in the wood is pleasurable. Often, I use pieces with striking imperfections which many discard as unusable. Something I like to call Redemption Woodworking. To me marrying form with function is necessary for all quality creations.
Recently I have been making some interesting furniture: tables, benches, stools, and cabinets for area art museums. Between the more elaborate pieces making household items (serving trays, charcuterie boards, boxes, turned bowls, and toys) is a relaxing way to try different ideas.
