Custom Quarter Sawn White Oak Bench
This bench is as beautiful as it is rugged. Constructed of welded 1" x 2" by 1/8" thick rectangular tubing supports and a 48" x 10" by 2" thick solid wood. The bench is designed for indoor or outdoor applications. The steel supports are 100% welded at all corners for strength and to prevent any moisture entrapment if used outdoors. The tubing is primed and painted a "hammered bronze" color and then top coated with satin clear. The wood is Pennsylvania quarter sawn white oak which was laminated in a butcher block configuration then hand sanded and stained a beautiful "golden oak". 3 coats of satin spar urethane form the top coat. This finish is suitable for outdoor use. The construction design allows for easy pick-up and movement of the bench. Dimensions: 48" long, 10" wide and the seating height is 17.5" from the floor. Bench thickness is 2 " Supports are 20" in overall height and 12" wide. Seating area between supports 36" Total Weight approx. 50 lbs. Note: The bench requires minor assembly after shipping (4 bolts) to attach the bench. Hardware is included.

Arts and Crafts Furniture….Handcrafted Custom Pieces
I am a retired engineer and marketer and now do what I enjoy most. I operate a small, independent, home shop in Northeast Ohio, where I construct handmade Arts and Crafts furniture from local timber sources in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan.
By demand, I have also expanded into "modern" metal and wood benches, as well as "live edge" pieces.
Like my furniture, these are handcrafted using steel and hardwoods. Although originally conceived for outdoor application, many are destined for interior furnishing only.
Please understand that the furniture I build is destined for my house, or yours, and so I rarely "stock" an item. Yours will be built with the utmost care and craftsmanship.
