Cherry And Maple Edge Grain Cutting Board

This handcrafted Cherry and Maple edge grain cutting board is as durable as it is pretty. By laminating Cherry and Maple boards together with waterproof glue and then adding Cherry breadboard end caps a unique look is achieved. At 1 1/4" thick it is substantial enough for chopping yet elegant enough for table displays The board measures 20" x 13" x 1 1/4" thick. The edge grain design is appreciated by chefs who value their knives and chopping surfaces. This cutting board provides a large working surface for all those cooks in your life that like to cut and chop, or for those that like to create counter or table displays. The corners and edges are rounded prior to sanding. The surface is sanded multiple times and then 3 coats of food grade mineral oil are applied followed by 2 coats of butcher block wax. The board may be rejuvenated from time to time by reapplying additional coats of mineral oil and/or butcher block wax. Both sides receive the same finish.
