🍷 The Perfect Blend 🍷 Each piece is crafted by hand from raw wood (Pine-Ash-Fir), Low VOC stain, & water based glue resulting in an ultra-high quality and durable product. Using mortise and tenon joints, we have developed a way to store wine that will fit perfectly into your available space. This simple yet technically complex design allows us to offer a consistent product that perfectly matches whether you expand next week, next year, or a few years down the road. Each wine bottle rack is 27"L x 24"H x 9"W. Four rows of six storage slots make a total capacity of 24 bottles (2 cases) per rack unit. Rather than a generic cutout, each side of the rack is cut spot on to securely hold the neck and base of every bottle at a slight angle for creating the perfect aging environment. This Handmade Wooden Modular Wine Rack is designed to be extendable. Holes and alignments are pre-drilled in each post giving you the flexibility to start small and build your collection or securely house your existing stash. "Extension Kits" are available at a discounted rate right here. Simply add on in either direction and watch your prized collection grow. These wooden wine racks are perfect for any occasion including Weddings, Birthdays, Graduations, House Warming, Mothers Day, and Fathers Day. Welcome! Thanks for visiting. My name is Sean and I am the owner of Silk CIty Woodworks. From a young age I have always been covered in sawdust and truly enjoy the total process from sourcing, preparing, production, finishing, & bringing to market. Lehigh Valley is known for the steel that built NYC, however, a bit lesser known were the silk mills producing fine refined fabric. Silk starts its origin from Mulberry trees and is refined into the highest quality fabric available. At Silk City Woodworks we aim to follow the same process. From origin to finished product with limited intervention between. Eastern PA has the ideal climate for hardwood tree growth yielding some of the best timber in the world. Check out our offerings and bring home a piece of that history and quality today.
Modern and traditional techniques are combined with a little bit of edge to create pieces meant to be one of the focal points in the room. Local Old Growth Hardwood Reclamation is a major focus of ours. While back breaking work is involved, the finished product speaks for itself. Custom work is encouraged. If you see something you like and would like to modify it a bit please let us know.
Our business model is simple. Top quality locally sourced material, affordable prices, old school hospitality, and great customer service (unless you prefer talking to a robot). The whole process is meant to keep you involved step by step with constant updates on your piece. Its a journey from tree to table so we would love to show you how we do it over here at Silk City.
We appreciate your patronage and please reach out to us with any questions or inquiries. Sean (Owner)
