MID CENTURY INSPIRED DINING ROOM TABLE

$4,500

This simple yet classic design maximizes seating for six up to 12. The 1” thick solid hardwood top is sturdy and has a chamfered edges which makes it appear even lighter. The table’s gently tapered legs (optional) are each connected to a thin apron of solid cherry with solid tenons.

In the smaller sizes, this table is great for smaller spaces and can use benches on one side for even more flexible seating. Finished in 4 coats of hand rubbed varnish or urethane.

Depending on the size, the table can seat people at both ends as well as two to four people per side

I am a custom furniture maker. I work out of my shop in northwest Connecticut and source most of my wood locally.

My handcrafted furniture designs are inspired by mid-century-modern, Nakashima, shaker and arts & crafts designs. I strive to design and build with simple and beautiful lines in mind and celebrate both the wood grain and joinery. I finish my furniture pieces with natural oil finishes, each coat hand rubbed and never anything that will hide the beauty of the wood surfaces.

I work with customers on original designs for them as well as designs based on existing pieces. I develop 3D CAD designs to review with clients. They are always welcome to see photographs of the work in progress.
