A large salad bowl made in the "segmented turning" technique, where many pieces of wood are fitted together into rings and stacked to create a blank. This blank is then turned and shaped to reveal the intricate patterns. This bowl is made from American Black Cherry and Curly Maple with Walnut accents. The exterior is finished in a food save tung oil varnish, and the interior with several coats of all natural walnut oil. Care is simply rinsing and wiping with paper towel. The oils from the salad dressing will keep the interior finished. Don't use dish soap, and DEFINITELY don't put it in the dishwasher!
The bowl measures 12 inches across and 5 inches high. Wall thickness is approx. 1/4 inch.
