Redwood Guitar
I acquired a 17 board foot redwood slab from a gentleman at a woodworking swap meet many years ago. He said he had grown up seeing the slab in his grandfather's barn. I counted 367 years in the slab. Who knows when it was cut. The figure is stunning. A redwood tree is inlayed at the 12th fret in homage. The back, fretboard, and neck woods are Claro walnut (California black walnut grafted to English walnut). This guitar is very light weight and comfortable. It is hand made from rare timbers (thus the price) and absolutely one-of-a-kind. All guitars I make come with lifetime maintenance and adjustment to your specification.

I design and build one-of-a-kind, tradition-inspired electric guitars in Sacramento Califorinia. I use "neck-through" construction for its ergonomic playability, superior energy transfer, and undeniable beauty. There is no CNC here, everything is hand-crafted with traditional tools. I often use three woods for the guitar body--great tone woods on top and bottom and a thin wood sandwich between (inspired by George Harrison's Let It Be rooftop guitar). My design/build approach is unique in the world of guitar making as far as I know. Each guitar uses the highest quality components. I build for myself on spec, hoping that player/collectors will like and support what I do. I offer stringed instrument repair and maintenance in the Sacramento area. I will consider commissions on a limited basis.
