Shearling is the tanned leather of lamb or sheep with the hair carefully retained. It is incredibly comfortable and quite lightweight for it's warmth, with natural wicking which prevents overheating.
The array of finishes available changes constantly and can range from natural leather and suede looks- to patent and even metallic finishes. Every year new and wonderful skins are createdso once the leather is gone- it's gone!
The fur can range be long and silky (aka Toscana Shearling) sheared like mink or in many variations of curls.
Carla can create a limited number of Bespoke Shearling Jackets (or coats) each year. And generally 2 muslin fittings are required (and can be done via mail) So planning ahead is essential.

Once the pattern is perfected, your piece is individually hand-made using the finest leathers and fabrics chosen specifically for your project.
