I made my first piece of furniture right before our daughter was born. It was a little changing table I made from 3/4 plywood; drawers and all ! I painted it brown and my wife made the cushion and covering for it. We were both very proud. Our daughter now has a family of her own, and two years ago I made a changing table for her first child (our first grandchild!) I've come a LONG way since then ! !
90% of all the furniture you see here or in my shop is made in the true Arts & Craft tradition. Using quarter sawn white oak, mortise and tenon joinery, hand rubbed Tung Oil or phenolic resin based varnish with a minimum of five coats. Heirloom quality pieces that can be passed down generation to generation. Beautiful in it's natural state or stained per your request. There is no inventory; all orders are taken and custom made. Delivery usually ranges from 8-12 weeks (depending on current work load). Sideboards, dining tables/chairs, corner hutches, hall trees/benches, hall tables, end tables, coffee tables, clocks, mirrors, etc. ALL patterned after the furniture that was popular at the turn of the 20th century and made with beautiful quarter sawn white oak. While this furniture was primarily made from quarter sawn white oak, I realize that some may want their custom made piece made from some other species of wood. This is not a problem. as you can see from some of the photos, I frequently use cherry, walnut, maple, etc. when called upon. Regardless of the wood used, you will love the quality and appearance of your heirloom quality Arts & Craft furniture from Bungalow. I guarantee it ! !

For Dining ChairsI had 10 chairs made by Michael Barnhill (d/b/a Bungalow White Oak Furniture). I am in the process of returning each. The issues are too extensive to described in this comment section. Very bad experience.

For Six 6' benchesI thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with Michael. This was my first time commissioning a project on Custom-Made and it was a rather large order; seven 7' black walnut benches to be used in a youth room at church. I wasn't certain of the exact design, but had a couple "inspiration photos" that he used to come up with a beautiful design. He submitted a proposal quickly and walked me through the building process. We made a couple of changes along the way and he was more than accommodating. Upon completion, he drove six hours to hand deliver his beautiful workmanship. These benches will serve our needs for years to come. I highly recommend Bungalow White Oak Furniture to anyone thinking of having a custom made piece of furniture.

For Industrial Reclaimed Scaffolding Planks Dining TableMichael Barnhill is THE craftsman you want working on your one of a kind furniture project!
The epitome' of professionalism and careful, time honored craftsmanship, Michael delivered a true masterpiece when he delivered my reclaimed 100 year old pine industrial desk built to my exact specifications. Michael was quick to over communicate on every aspect of the project, deliver, and even helped install the desk in a very difficult to access office space. AWESOME job Michael all the way around!
I will certainly keep you in mind for a couple of future projects that are just a twinkle in my eye currently. See you again soon compadre!
Warm Regards,
Michael "Dutch" Dyer
