About Me
I am a Harvard educated PhD scientist turned self-taught artist. Gypsum plaster, or plaster of paris, poured into antique chocolate molds creates a unique three dimensional canvas for my art. My intricate hand painted designs reflect my love of floral and fauna and are inspired by my research of historical art motifs.

About My Work
The art of molding plaster of paris, referred to as chalkware, into holiday treasures is a centuries old German tradition.

My Folk Art brings together this German tradition with antique chocolate molds and offers a unique, handcrafted treasure that will last a lifetime. I love painting in rich, saturated colors and most of my artwork involves intricate designs borrowed from nature.

While some pieces are crafted using engaging innovative designs, others are inspired by the designs of centuries past. The exacting craftsmanship, colorful design, and antiquing finishes reflect our historic past and as a result, each piece takes on the patina of a well-loved antique.
