The story begins with Peter taking a short vacation to the US Virgin Islands and turning it into an eight year business endeavor. The first shop, Tropical Woodworks was born.

Starting as a cabinetmakers helper on the interior construction of a 65 foot brand new sailboat, Peter took on cabinet and furniture projects from boats, homes, and businesses. Conjunctively, Peter began milling local mahogany and other exotic woods. Some of that island wood supply can still be found at Atlantic Woodworks today.

Tropical Woodworks moved up the East Coast to Annapolis MD in an effort to be closer to the hub of the marketplace. In business for over 30 years, we at Atlantic Woodworks have firmly set our feet in Annapolis, continued honing our skills, and perfecting the methods by which we build some of the finest woodwork projects today.

We build custom made, high end furniture, cabinets and guitars of all types.
