We are a family owned, custom made, reclaimed wood furniture business! We specialize in reclaimed lumber from California Redwood to Florida Cypress! We custom build every piece of furniture so it is always a one-of-a-kind piece for our customers!
To explain to you who we are, we would need to start at the beginning of this journey. September 6, 2014, we were your typical 7:00am-3:00pm educators working in the school system, until our early evening trip to the emergency room with our 18 month old son. That trip to the emergency room was one that we will remember everyday for the rest of our lives. After all the blood work and tests had been run, the doctor came in and told us our little boy had cancer. Two days later, our son was diagnosed with leukemia, but in the ears of a parent, cancer is cancer and I'm not sure I heard anything for days. Our stay in the hospital was for a span of approximately 67 days. Our little guy developed so many rare side effects from his chemotherapy that the doctors began calling him a unicorn. While we agree that our child is special, this was not one of those times you wanted your child to stand out. The chemo actually made him develop an additional disease, called Veno Occlusive Disease. Basically, VOD makes your liver functions stop and then go in reverse. The US didn't have any approved treatments for VOD yet, but there was an experimental one that had a 45% mortality rate, and while those were not great odds, it was our only hope. Truth be told, one of the doctors came and cried with me one day because even they had lost hope for our son. But little man found a way to fight through it all, and while we aren't out of the woods yet, we are out of the hospital and living as normal a life as you can with oral chemo every day and monthly infusions.
So, what is the point of my story you ask. He was out of the hospital and getting better every day, but his immune system was still basically zero and he couldn't go to daycare. So, with one full time income, we needed a way to work from home to make ends meet, especially with medical bills growing every day. My cousins in California, who had been with us every step of the way with our little man's diagnosis, recruited us to start woodworking with them. They had been in business for 5 years and knew my husband's background in construction and carpentry would make him an ideal woodworker. It has been two years since we started creating custom pieces, and I can't tell you how much we love what we do! Our little boy was finally able to go back to school in August of 2015 and is now in remission. We still have chemo treatments for several more months, but little man is getting stronger and bigger every day!
This company was truly created out of a love for family and that's why we take so much pride in every piece of wood we choose for your family's custom made furniture. We love what we do and we truly enjoy creating a custom piece of furniture that you will love too!

Shipping We serve the Continental US. COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS-arranged Delivery COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS does not provide delivery services, but as a courtesy, will assist in arranging for delivery using an independent delivery carrier (“Carrier”) based in the Panama City, Florida area with the following terms: \* Carrier retains the right to refuse any quotation request; \* Carrier’s base quote is for a single driver, blanket-wrapping, and curb-side off-loading only; \* Carry-in assistance may be arranged at additional cost and driver will be indemnified from accidental damage of any kind during carry-in service; \* Driver cannot make alterations to any project/item nor to the address structure if any project/item cannot fit or make passage through any part of the address; \* Delivery appointments are based on a 3-hour window; \* Upon departure from the COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS workshop, delivery fees become non-refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, inability to enter address, missed appointments and delivery refusal; \* COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS is not responsible for damage or loss of any kind while in the possession of the Carrier; \* Any dispute with the delivery is solely between the Carrier and the client.

Maker Policies IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ TERMS and POLICIES Reclaimed Wood The majority of our reclaimed wood is redwood and cypress ranging in thickness from 5/8” to 1” thick. We acquire them from several sources and do our best to keep them in “lots” from each source. The lumber is typically weathered by wind, rain and sun for at least 10 years before it comes to us, resulting in a highly textured surface which cannot be replicated with new lumber. General Design Description We fabricate our projects by first constructing a frame and/or supporting structure using new lumber (typically 2x4 fir) to maximize structural integrity, then clad some or all of the structure with reclaimed lumber. Craftsmanship and What To Expect After receiving client information and specifications, all projects are reviewed by a designer and principal woodworker to ensure a long-lasting, well-constructed piece of furniture. Our projects are then fabricated with purposeful imperfection to replicate a rustic quality - this means your piece could have some or all of the following, but not limited to: slight but visible gaps between boards; slight variation in thickness between adjoining boards and trim; visible tone and color variation between boards throughout; knots and/or knot holes. All visible surfaces of wood are cleaned and sanded, but not so much as to lose the weathered texture. Chemicals and Finishing Products We do not use any lumber, new or reclaimed, that has or appears to have been pressure-treated with preservatives or creosote unless specifically requested by the customer. Unless otherwise stated or requested, visible wood portions of all projects (except potting tables) receive a minimum of 2 coats of MinWax Helmsman Indoor/Outdoor Water-based Polyurethane. Organic finishing products derived from dairy whey protein may be requested at additional cost. Ordering Process Upon an accepted quote and estimated delivery schedule, a 50% deposit is required to book a project with the remaining balance due upon completion and PRIOR to pick-up or departure from the COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS workshop. At COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS’s discretion, additional costs over and above the deposit may be required in advance if the project requires 3rd Party Vendors and/or the purchase of Specialty Parts and Supplies (see below); Orders Requiring 3rd Party Vendors or Purchase of Specialty Parts In some instances, COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS requires 3rd Party Vendors to participate in fabricating a project and/or the purchase of specialty parts and supplies. Examples: welding, sheet metal, machine and paint shops, client-specified wood not normally provided by COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS, special hardware, brackets, finishing products, turned legs, pedestals, etc. In the event of a client-requested order cancellation, advanced payments for 3rd Party Vendors and/or the Purchase of Specialty Parts and Supplies are not refundable. If non-refundable supplies were purchased, the client may pick-up items or arrange for delivery of same. Communication Once a project is booked, the design engineer will check over email messages for details and specifications. After completion, several photographs will be sent for approval of the project. Of course, a personal inspection is always welcome at the COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS workshop. Pick-up and Delivery Options Once the project has been approved, there are three ways to get the project to your address: Self Pick-up Projects may be picked up directly from our workshop located in Wewahitchka, Fl. Please ensure your vehicle can safely carry the item(s) and bring appropriate straps, rope, bungee cords and blankets to protect and secure your load. Please call ahead for a pick-up appointment. Self-arranged Delivery You may arrange a pick-up using a professional delivery service of your choosing. Our facility location can accommodate non-trailered box trucks only and we recommend arranging for lift-gate vehicles as we do not have a loading dock or forklift. The service must also provide blanket-wrapping. COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS reserves the right to consider a project non-returnable at its sole discretion and COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS will provide notice of this decision at the submission of a quote before any deposits are made.The client is responsible for arranging and paying for return of the merchandise to the COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS workshop. Warranty COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS maintains a one-year warranty against defects. Normal wear is not included. The client is responsible for arranging and paying for return of the merchandise needing repair or replacement to the COASTAL COUNTRY CREATIONS workshop.
