I'm a mechanical design engineer with experience in aerospace, military/defense, veterinary surgical equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing.
In retirement, I shifted my technical experience into a full-time profession fabricating custom wood furniture and fixtures for homes, businesses, restaurants and bars. Engineering has served me well in designing unique and eye-pleasing projects.
Primarily I build with reclaimed softwoods such as cedar and redwood, but can also build with new wood species.
I've incorporated computer-controlled machines to fabricate custom metal wall décor, artwork, signs and furniture accents in addition to the woodworking equipment.

Maker Policies
Shipping Policy
I ship nation-wide using common carriers for smaller items. For larger pieces, I will use white-glove, last mile or independent shippers with experience in moving furniture.
Maker Policy
Custom work requires clear and careful communication to ensure the work accomplished meets your expectations. This will include a CAD sketch/drawing of the proposed project, wood samples with various stains and finishes and photos of previously-built projects similar in scope. In general I do not accept returns or provide refunds if the delivered item is not damaged and meets the criteria of the agreed upon communications and written proposal. I do ship with insurance and will assist in every way possible should there be a problem with the shipper including damage or loss caused by them.
