The Maker
Alex Adams is a Mechanical Engineer by trade, designing miniature surgical robots for the Army and NASA, prototyping and manufacturing IoT devices for the Ag industry, and more. After moving into his first home with his wife Alix and son Peter, Alex needed to clear out overcrowded trees and didn’t want to waste the usable lumber. Connecting with other woodworkings led him on a path to saving good lumber from being turned into mulch and instead giving it second life as custom made furniture using his manufacturing background.

Type A Furniture proudly makes furniture using lumber sourced from family owned sawmills in Nebraska which is saved from being burned/disposed and instead turned into custom furniture. All hardware from partner organizations is guaranteed made in the USA, down to every nut and bolt.

Maker Policies
Shipping Policy
While generally shipping is within the US, special arrangements can me made for projects that require shipping outside of the US. Method of shipment will be selected to make sure it arrives safely on time.
Maker Policy
Once all details have been finalized, a non-refundable deposit is required to obtain what is needed for the project (materials, design time, etc). Pictures and videos will be communicated to make sure the project is exactly as desired. Remaining balance is due upon receipt of the item. The piece can be returned within 30 days of the delivery date with shipping paid for by the customer and the balance will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit.
