It is refreshing and deeply satisfying to purchase something that is made by a craftsman especially for you. A piece of furniture that can be passed down from one generation to another is special. Jim Reedy Custom Woodworking is a one-person shop that makes beautiful furniture in a variety of styles. I use only fine quality solid wood and employ hand carving, traditional joinery and extensive use of hand tools to create my furniture. My pieces aren't inexpensive, but I have found that the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

What a wonderful experience! I have been ordering custom items for many years and usually something is not right...........not this time! From the proposal, which was quick and priced right (and included a computer graphic) through keeping contact re: progress, up to delivery of a table which was exactly to my specifications. Jim built a beautiful dining table for me with two leaves that seats 4-8 people. Jim was an absolute pleasure to work with. We designed the table together and Jim drove all the way from Boca to Davie on multiple occasions to meet with me to discuss the design and the finish of the table. While the table was being made, Jim provided me with regular updates on the progress. Jim is dedicated to his customer and passionate about his work. This is evident in the wonderful craftsmanship of our table. My family and I love the table and we have received many compliments from dinner guests. I take great pride in my work and the vast majority of my clients are delighted with the pieces I create for them. However, if you buy something and are unsatisfied with the result, I guarantee that I will work with you to make needed adjustments free of charge. If additional materials are required to accomplish the change, I will charge you for the cost of the materials, but not my labor to make the correction. Custom work is non-refundable and once in-progress, custom projects cannot be cancelled.
