I needed this for Christmas so John was not able to make one for me in time. He offered one that had already been built at a discounted price. I was very pleased with the offer, it was a substantial discount. It is a rustic piece so I didn't expect it to be pristine, but it was obvious that it had some wear, perhaps from being transported to shows. One of the star conchos had fallen off during shipping. I was able to use some glue to re-attach so had no concerns about that. One of the pieces of wood was split and it was quite obvious because the unstained piece was exposed. Fortunately, my son is very experienced in wood working so he is able to perform repairs and it won't show once its hung on the wall but if I had more time I would have returned it and had John fix it. I am still very pleased with the rack. It is very unique and is exactly what I wanted for my husband. The rest of the quality is good and I'm sure if I had ordered one that was made for me, it would have arrived in good condition.
