I specialize in reclaimed materials, healthy and environmentally friendly finishes, and run a full custom furniture shop and retail store in Oregon. I am a strong advocate of recycling in its many forms, and am proud to offer historic lumber products a second life as a work of art or furniture. I am involved with the materials I use from the very beginning, whether it be architectural salvage, or rescuing logs from pulp yards and milling them into raw lumber. From selection and processing to finished product and shipping, I am involved every step of the way. I appreciate both the process and the benefits of using salvaged materials and historical lumber to design and fabricate second-life products, while minimizing or negating resource consumption.

I can work with you from the earliest stages of design, through fabrication and delivery. Due to the age, color, grain, and source of my materials, each piece is unique and one of a kind, and is therefore customizable to the smallest detail. I pride myself in offering sustainable, responsible, and healthful solutions for your design needs.

I also wanted to keep the items specified as environmentally responsible as possible, plus meet a tight non-profit budget while maintaining quality and fabulous contemporary style. Jonathan fit the bill perfectly and the client and I are thrilled with this one of a kind piece of usable art! AND If I could give him an A+ on shipping, I would because the box and foam protection were custom made too!

    I ended up getting several pieces from Jonathan, both because of the high quality of his work (which is just as apparent through photographs as it is in person) and his willingness to work within my needs and limitations. I couldn't be happier with the pieces he made for me. This was my first time using this site and getting custom furniture made, and Jonathan made the experience exciting and easy.
