Jypsea Leathergoods are hand-crafted eco-concious luxurious leather handbags, accessories, home decor and re-upholstered furnishings with an eclectic flair designed by modern leather artisan Meca McKinney from her NJ-based design studio.

"I started Jypsea after years of working in NYC in the corporate design industry because I simply believed that luxurious, hand-made, well-designed accessories should be accessible to all."

"I've earned a degree in accessory design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and fine arts from Thomas Edison State College. I have also earned my Masters in Studio art with a focus on design & craft from NJCU. I worked in the corporate fashion industry for a decade as a technical designer for footwear, costume and apparel companies. Now I joyfully made beautiful custom pieces to help courageously stylish individuals express their authentic personality."

Jypsea has attracted notable fans including Ciara, neo-soul singer Res, Imani Copolla of the rock group Little Sister and famed Artistic Director Judith Jamison of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and has been featured in The Today Show, NBC Philadelphia's The Ten! Spot, Clutch Magazine, Upscale Magazine, Trace Magazine and numerous fashion blogs and in various art gallery exhibits.
