I had a great experience working with Ed Fox at VSF. The project was for a custom double bathroom vanity in walnut. I got about 10 replies on my initial request but Ed Fox was one of the few that offered to complete the project within the very short specified timeframe. We quickly exchanged a few messages, I sent over a couple of photos of similar designs. Ed responded with a 3d rendering and began working within a couple of days. Ed delivered the vanity himself to make sure he hit the deadline.

The end result looks fantastic with wood grain flowing across all 6 drawers. Joints, details and finish are all perfect.

Ed was easy to work with and finished a beautiful walnut bed for me within a decent time frame. I made a small amount of custom changes but they were easily adjusted for in the design I believe. I had a lot of questions about the design of the bed and the joinery. I would only have to say that it may be good to include those details in the listing, as I would have had a clearer idea of the design altogether in the beginning without having to ask a lot. Overall, bed is very pretty. Walnut is gorgeous of course!! Thank you.

Ed built a dressing cabinet for our bathroom and did an excellent job. He communicated clearly, was easy to work with, met his deadlines, and produced a handsome, well-crafted piece of furniture. I opted to pick it up and couldn't get to his shop right away, but he was patient and accommodating about the delay, which I appreciated.

We're very pleased with the cabinet, and certainly would work with Ed again.

Despite detailed drawings and feedback from emails, Ed missed several key specifications, including finish and drawer size. The drawer size error means I had to mount the vanity sink off center of the vanity base, light fixture, and mirror. Oops. Missed the original and revised delivery dates. Had a 1" spot on the veneer separate from the frame, which I fixed myself.

My suggestion was that I should get some money back since the items Ed missed were pretty important to me. Ed has not replied in two weeks since I complained. Custommade Customer Support has been completely ineffective in resolving the dispute. Strongly recommend against doing business with VSF and Custommade.

We apologize for your experience with V.S.F and CustomMade. As the majority of the conversation occurred over the phone and outside of CustomMade, the support staff was only able to make their ruling based on the information that was on CustomMade. Discussion regarding the exact finish and measurements all occurred outside of the Trust and Safety Department's jurisdiction. In the future- we recommend to keep all information on the CustomMade messaging platform, if there is a disagreement about the final product, the support staff will be able to get involved.
