Ore Dock Design

Who are we at Ore Dock Design? We are a reclaimed wood furniture and art company that is located in the heart of Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Our workshop is located in a hundred year old barn on the shores of Lake Superior. This is also where you will find the historic ore docks that are made of the same wood and metals that our furniture is.

What do we do? We design and build furniture and art using reclaimed woods and combining them with natural stone, tile, and metal. We are passionate about using and reclaiming these materials to make unique, one of a kind pieces that you simply cannot buy in the store. We also believe that by reclaiming and upcycling these materials, it helps preserve history and allows our items to tell a story of where it came from. We love to couple these woods with iron pipe and metals to create industrial and rustic furniture.

We also come from generations of honest, hard working carpenters who know how to treat a customer and what quality is all about. At the end of the day we are proud to put our name on all our products and stand behind anything that leaves our shop. We will not put anything in your home that we would not be willing to put in our own. We will also work with you to create a one of a kind, custom piece, that not one else has.
