Mike did an excellent job with the table and delivery, he took care of any inconveniences and all and all everything turned out great!

Delighted with the desk; all my specifications were implemented and Mike made excellent suggestions that improved functionality and design. Mike was extremely easy to communicate with and responded to my many questions with insight and patience. I would be delighted to work with him again on my next project.

We could not be more disappointed in our experience. The project was supposed to take 8 weeks to be completed (normal turnaround time was 4-6 weeks). Instead, the project took over 4 months to be completed. Making things worse was the lack of communication around delays as it took several follow ups to get a response. The last straw came when the vanity cabinet was delivered it reeked of smoke (impossible to get out of wood), the finish had drips in some areas, and the inside of the cabinet was incomplete. We’ve now spent over 20 hours trying to remove the smoke smell (not successful yet) and still have more hours to do to finish the piece. We’ve reached out to Mike and have not received a response (not surprised). We have received no money back or discount to date either for all of the troubles we’ve been put through.

Mike was by far the most communicative and detail-oriented craftsman I interviewed, and I can't tell you how happy I am with the final products! Mike worked with me to ensure that I was satisfied with the dimensions, materials and construction of the pieces (I started with one and inquired about another, and Mike was able to update the proposal easily) and sent pictures of the pieces while they were in process to ensure that I was pleased with how they were coming together. They are beautiful and exactly what I had in mind. Would highly recommend Mike and Edelman's Wood Designs!

Mike delivered my custom bathroom vanity this afternoon and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! His craftsmanship is very good and I appreciated the care he took as we iterated the design and the execution of the piece. This was my first experience with CustomMade.com – when I posted my project online, I received a handful of proposals with a range of cost estimates (all of which were less expensive than what I was quoted by local resources in NYC). I was a little nervous when I embarked with CustomMade thinking “this must be too good to be true,” but when Mike started showing me CAD drawings of my ideas and explaining the different manufacturing options, I knew intuitively that he knew what he was doing and was motivated by his craft. This was truly a joint effort – he had great patience through every iteration and used photos and texts to inform my decisions throughout the process.

Fantastic job. My wife and I found a coffee table we really liked but it was only available in England and could not be shipped overseas, so I sent Mike some photos of the table and essentially asked him to recreate it. The table turned out beautifully - we could not be happier. Strongly recommended.

The project took a little longer than I had hoped, but I am not disappointed about the quality of work in the slightest. Mike made sure to complete the project exactly to my specifications, and he certainly delivered on his promise to make sure I was happy with the final product. I could not be more pleased with my furniture. Big thanks to Mike for making my bedroom the happiest it has ever been. I definitely recommend Mike for any furniture needs. :)

Mike is the best. His work is absolutely beautiful, but the reason I enjoyed working with Mike was because he was in control of the process. It was easy working with Mike because he knows how to walk you through the process of turning your abstract idea/vision into a real custom product he builds from scratch. It can be daunting wondering if you've communicated well-enough to the person building your product that they'll give you what you want, but from start to finish Mike got it. Working with Mike was a real pleasure. I had a few bids for my bed frame project, but after looking at the level of craftsmanship he showed on other pieces in his profile I felt confident he could take care of the task I had. He was very clear about the details and even offered suggestions about how to make the finish, color and design a bit better (which is something I really appreciated). After we confirmed the project we communicated fairly frequently, though I may have pushed that a little. Either way he was perfectly responsive, usually getting back to me within an hour or two and always within the same day, especially toward the end and finishing touches. With regard to delivery and professionalism, you're in good hands with Mike. He personally delivered the bed - which is saying something as it was and oversized King frame. During the delivery we worked together to get the frame fit into my room (on the 4th floor of a walk-up in nyc), though he offered to do it all himself for the record. The only slight negative I'd offer is that he came in at the very end of the agreed upon delivery date (which was a decently large range). However, that was something we had talked about throughout, so I was well aware that may occur as the project moved along. No surprises from Mike while he worked on this for me. Value here is incredible. I could have seen myself paying 2x or more for the same thing with someone else and more than that if the design were in a restoration hardware or similar store. Hope to work with Mike again, and can't say enough about how pleasant he was during the entire project and how happy I am with the finished result. Thanks Mike!

The night stands we requested Mike to make for us are beautiful and pretty much perfect. It began with a rough idea and a rough sketch drawn by me. Mike was able to turn that into reality, listening to and meeting our requests. He took the time to present options and explain. Though communication was spotty and delivery time was twice as long as was quoted, it didn't affect our satisfaction. We allowed for that possibility of delay and banked on the fact that we'd be pleased with the end result. And we were beyond pleased. I would contact Mike again if I'm am ever in need of more custom furniture.

Let me begin by saying that I am a very difficult client. I design something in my head, become fixated and want what I want. That said, Michael did a great job realizing my vision. I sent him a picture of the tables I wanted him to make and then proceeded to make all sorts of modification requests and was a champ. He understood where I was going and built exactly to me specs. Also, he's a really nice person and extremely easy to deal with. Can't wait to do another project with... now my design ideas are really flowing!! Thank you Michael!

I engaged Michael to help with two dressers that I'm going to use as nightstands. It was a very pleasant experience to work with Michael. He accommodated my design ideas and changes, communicated throughout the process, and executed the design flawlessly. He also went above and beyond to ensure the color and final product came out the way I wanted. Two thumbs up for a rare and exceedingly great experience.

Through the entire process, I found working with Mike to be a pleasant experience and love the finished product! Keeping in mind all of the elements I wanted integrated into the bar unit yet the space limitations, Mike helped to bring a loose vision to life with a gorgeous design that exceeded all expectations for the finished product. I would highly recommend him!

Michael was a phenomenal craftsman that I would highly recommend to any friend. His work was inventive and beautiful. I was rather difficult and had several last minute changes and he was able to execute them perfectly. A++
